Sounders FC and the Portland Timbers battled it out at Starfire Sports tonight in the fourth round of the 2017 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. The home team eked out the 2-1 win thanks to an early goal from Aaron Kovar, and Zach Mathers’ game-winning PK that resulted from a handball in the box.
