STEM Classes
Winter 2025 Starfire STEM classes will begin the week of January 7, 2025 and registration is available online through our DaySmart Recreation platform beginning October 28, 2024. Full details can be found below.
In 2019, STEM was added to the Starfire Academy to enhance our community support further and build on our vision of creating a thriving community that ensures equitable opportunities and access for all! Learn more about why STEM was chosen as the first step in extending our reach beyond soccer.
The Starfire STEM Academy aims to provide equitable opportunities and access to STEM learning that inspire and empower participants to develop STEM-enabled knowledge, skills, and mindsets needed to thrive in a rapidly changing STEM society. This inclusive program fosters a sense of belonging and enables all youth to participate meaningfully and feel valued for who they are.
Pre-K & Kindergarten (45-minute classes), $200/person for 10 weeks. Available classes:
Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays, beginning Tuesday, January 7th.
Our pre-K and Kindergarten STEM class is designed to foster curiosity and give a basic introduction to STEM concepts to students preparing for or just starting their educational journey. Topics and activities will change week to week as we rotate through science, technology, engineering, and math.

1st-6th Grade (60-minute classes), $237.50/person for 10 weeks. Available classes:

Our Winter 2025 season will focus on video game development. Students will learn the basics of coding, design unique characters, and build storylines for their very own games!
